Founded in 1879, LCS is a leader among Canada’s independent boarding and day schools, and prides itself on its reputation for providing a strong, caring community, a well-rounded program, and a transformational student experience on one of the largest waterfront campuses in the country. Of our total student population of 430, we have roughly 300 students who live on campus, coming from over 40 countries. Our spectacular 315-acres campus, located just 1.5 hours northeast of Toronto, allows students to be outdoors every day, enjoying a variety of sports, arts, co-curricular programs and experiential learning opportunities. LCS has a proud 144-year history of educating some of Canada’s finest young leaders. Our graduates go on to successful careers in all aspects of business, politics, social services, academia and the arts. We are particularly proud to be the alma mater of His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain and four Rhodes Scholars

The LCS Foundation’s purpose is to promote the advancement of Lakefield College School, with responsibility for all fundraising initiatives in support of the School, as well as managing the endowment. The Foundation is passionately committed to making the LCS of tomorrow an even better place for young people to learn and grow. Through the generous support of our community, the Foundation has succeeded in raising roughly $45M over the last five years to support capital projects, tuition assistance and program priorities. As we look towards the future, we will continue to build upon our fundraising momentum to support the realization of our vision for LCS.
