What P.A.C.E. says..

PACE | SchoolAdvice Profile

A coed, independent, day school serving students from Grade 1 through 12, it currently enrolls approximately 300 students. The Academy for Gifted Children, P.A.C.E., claims to be the only school in Ontario devoted entirely to intellectually gifted students. The primary goal of P.A.C.E. is to find and enhance the abilities of each child, in order to maximize his or her potential for success, while addressing the social and emotional needs of each student. Barbara Rosenberg, Director of P.A.C.E., is a specialist in gifted education. P.A.C.E. is based on the premise that gifted children need high-powered learning experiences to challenge their minds and ensure intellectual growth and achievement.

P.A.C.E. Mission

The Academy for Gifted Children – P.A.C.E. is a non-denominational, co-educational, private day school that provides differential programming for gifted children, grades one through University Entrance. Complying with the requirements of the Ministry of Education, we ensure that the basic skills of literacy, writing, numeracy and scientific competence are developed. The Academy For Gifted Children – P.A.C.E. offers a differential education, a curriculum that is built on greater depth and breadth of instruction, a more complex approach to learning. Through the use of broad-based issues and themes our students develop high levels of skill in critical and creative thinking, problem solving, research and communication.

School Administrators – Submit a Career Opportunity

PACE has a very lackluster website given that they purport to be a school for gifted children.  I find this somewhat incongruous.
