DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS

Full-Time Position

The Director of Athletics is an accomplished educator and administrator who effectively collaborates with others to further the Vision, Mission, Values and strategic goals of St. John’s-Ravenscourt School. The Director of Athletics will oversee all aspects of the SJR Athletics Program. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior leadership and communication skills, work positively in both a team setting and independently, and be well organized, collaborative, and proficient in the use of technology.

Reporting to the Deputy Head, Academics; areas of responsibility include the development and administration of SJR’s Athletics programs in each of the three divisions of the School (Junior, Middle and Senior), development of coaches and athletes, and effective liaison with internal stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, and administration) and external organizations at the city, provincial and national levels.

The successful candidate will be a caring and inclusive educator who can enact the School’s character values: respect, empathy, courage, and integrity.

The candidate will demonstrate skills in the areas of leadership, organization, collaboration, and communication. The candidate is likely to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate or be eligible to obtain one. Please refer to the SJR website at www.sjr.mb.ca for a detailed position description.
