Teachers for 2023-2024
Founded in 1899, St. Andrew’s College (SAC) is an independent, all-boys university preparatory school for Grades 5-12. Located 40 minutes north of Toronto, SAC’s 126-acre campus is home to a mix of 650 boarding and day students from 25 countries. As set out in our mission statement, SAC’s rigorous academic program is complemented by a wide range of co-curricular activities designed to develop “the complete man and well-rounded citizen.” All boys participate in the extensive athletic program (71 teams across 22 sports) and the 116-year-old Cadet Corps. Graduates gain entry to top universities in Canada, the U.S., and abroad and are part of a network of 6,000 Old Boys around the world. To find out more, visit our website at www.sac.on.ca
St. Anne’s is a place of learning where girls are encouraged to find their centre, challenged to develop their voice, and pushed to explore and integrate beyond traditional norms. SAS serves young women in every capacity, providing an experience as unique and fulfilling as St. Andrew’s College has since 1899. Our students’ experiences will grow to become much richer as we construct and establish a progressive learning environment for generations to come. This is an exciting time for both St. Anne’s School and St. Andrew’s College as we embark on hiring up to 20 teachers for the 2023-2024 school year.
At St. Anne’s School, we will welcome girls from grades 5-10 for the inaugural year in our stunning state-of-the-art facility across the road from St. Andrew’s College.
At St. Andrew’s College, we begin a new phase in the history of the school as we look to develop a new strategic plan with a renewed focus on educating boys.
The unique partnership between the schools is unprecedented and promises to offer myriad professional growth and development opportunities.
As a result, we are looking for teachers, who are also coaches, boarding staff, and mentors, who are relentlessly pursuing modes of instruction and engaging curriculum that will ensure student growth and success. We seek educators who understand the reciprocal benefits of being involved in the full life of the school and the lasting impact that level of engagement brings to the student experience.
If you aspire to build upon your students’ dreams while building your own, you might have just discovered the opportunity of a lifetime. If you are the kind of teacher with a deep sense of purpose, desirous of the autonomy to lead, and seeking support for personal growth, please consider applying.
Candidates are required to hold a B.Ed. and, preferably, are certified to teach in Ontario or in pursuit of this designation. We seek candidates who can demonstrate the ability to contribute to the many facets of school life, including coaching responsibilities.
Both schools offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, which includes the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.
To express interest in this opportunity, submit a cover letter and resume directly to sac.simplication.com by January 9, 2023. In your application, if necessary, please identify your preference for which school you would like to serve. Interviews will begin as soon as possible.
We believe that diversity in our schools fosters a rich, inclusive, and creative environment. We are actively engaged in building a more diverse school and encourage all qualified applicants to apply. By extension, we are committed to providing accommodations for persons with disabilities. If you require an accommodation through the recruitment process, please contact Human Resources at 905-727-2580.
