International Enrolment Specialist

OVERVIEW

An International Enrolment Specialist plays a key role in building and sustaining international enrolment at Rothesay Netherwood School (RNS) by supporting the Director of Enrolment Management in various research, planning, promotional, recruitment, admission, retention and strategic international enrolment activities. The role requires an individual who is highly professional, engaging, organized and articulate, with excellent communications skills. This role will be the primary liaison with the RNS Educational Consultant network.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, coordinate, administer and conduct recruitment activities and initiatives, in accordance with approved budget guidelines, inclusive of the design, development, scheduling and delivery of virtual and in-person seminars and presentations to aid in the recruitment of mission-appropriate international students.

Plan and execute programs that enhance the public awareness and perception of the school, both locally and internationally.

Regularly train educational consultants and similar partners regarding the value of and admission to RNS for international families.

Manage and guide in-person and virtual meetings and tours with prospective families.

Support the student admission process from the point of inquiry through student application in consultation with the Admission Coordinator, Director of Enrolment Management, and Enrolment Managers.

Occasionally evaluate student reports and assessments in consultation with academic leaders and counsellors, interview candidates, provide summary recommendations to the Admission Committee and Scholarship & Bursary Committee.

Occasionally communicate decisions of the Admissions and Scholarship & Bursary committees to candidate’s families, and facilitate the receipt of required enrolment deposits and documents or counsel families regarding non-admittance circumstances and options.

Work closely with the Director of Enrolment Management and the Student Retention Committee to manage the annual re-enrolment process.

Provide regular reporting on international enrolment management activities and assist with statistical analysis of market reports, enrolment, financial aid, scholarships, attrition and retention data to contribute to internationally-focused strategic planning.

Contribute to the ongoing development of admission marketing and messaging content with a focus on international.

Work in conjunction with the Alumni Office to connect with the network of parents, former parents and alumni to assist the recruitment and admission program.

Plan, execute, and attend events as a representative of the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales, business administration or related field.

Sales experience required. (Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered and salary commensurate with years of experience)

Proficient computer skills with experience using MS Office 365, iWork suite or Google Suite (spreadsheet, pivot tables, slideshows).

Proficient Customer Relationship Manager skills with experience using CRM tools (experience using Blackbaud an asset)

Ability to quickly learn and use computer applications and technology.

Experience in a service-oriented position dealing with culturally diverse clientele.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Motivated by the demands of a fast-paced work environment.

Collaborative approach to problem solving; ability to work positively as part of a team and show leadership by supporting other members of the group.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and think strategically.

Possess a high level of initiative, engagement, and motivation.

Confidence working with data and statistical analysis.

High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information.

Available for domestic and international travel, and flexible to work some evenings and weekends, as required.

An understanding of, and alignment with, the mission of the school.

Knowledge of independent schools is considered an asset.

Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset.

Experience in international business development is considered an asset.
