Elementary Principal (JK-8)
Newton’s Grove School is a leading student-focused university prep school with a commitment to educating the whole student from JK to grade 12. We back onto 100 acres of Paul Coffey Park just 8 minutes from Pearson International Airport. We are looking for an individual to join our leadership team for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond. We are seeking a person with the education, energy, and experience to lead our Primary, Junior and Intermediate Divisions as the Elementary Principal.
Role Overview:
This individual will report to the Head of School and work in partnership with the Senior Principal. They will provide support for the Primary-Junior Division Head, and the Primary-Junior and Intermediate Teachers. They will also serve as the Interim Intermediate Division Head for the coming school year while working to find an individual to lead the Intermediate Division beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. As a key member of the Leadership Team, they will help ensure the school’s continued growth and development to guarantee it is always a leading school.
Desired Background and Skills
A Master’s degree and/or Principals Qualifications Part 1 and 2 is required. Extensive experience leading in a variety of schools and divisions is also essential. In addition, the successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of the Provincial curriculum and regulations for private schools

- An individual with expert knowledge and vast leadership experience supporting teaching and learning in at least JK-8
- A motivated and enthusiastic team player committed to delivering highly effective service to students, colleagues, and your school.
- Very experienced in terms of leadership in educational settings and studies in post-secondary education.
- Energetic and persistent, keen to be highly engaged in the school to understand, support, and celebrate it.
- Highly organized, able to balance efforts every day to support students, colleagues, the school, and the realization of long-term goals.
- A reflective self-starter who is relentless and sees problems as opportunities,
