Outstanding athletics, small class sizes, and an extensive co-curricular program for 560 students in Grades 7 to 12.
The Student Success Centre Director leads, manages, and oversees the Student Success Centre, its programs and team. This individual reports to the Head of Senior School and coordinates and ensures the provision of learning supports, academic and social-emotional counselling, post-secondary advising and the Teacher Advisor program.
This individual is responsible for leading teacher professional development in the areas of social-emotional support, mental health, executive functioning and supporting student learning within the classroom; including specific strategies for students with learning differences.

?Proven experience leading a team and spearheading initiatives
?Master’s degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education or related field
?Possesses Alberta teaching certificate or equivalent
?Minimum of 5 years experience leading a student support department
?Experience leading teacher professional development
?Experience working in a CAIS school is an asset
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
?Provide leadership and supervision to the Student Success Centre team including prioritizing and assigning caseload to guidance counsellors and learning strategists
?Develop and/or refine departmental practices and procedures to optimize efficiency and supports for students in alignment with strategic priorities
?Provide technical advice and assistance to help administrative staff and teachers in meeting their obligations to students with special needs
?Ensure compliance with Alberta Education requirements for Individual Program Planning as detailed in the Requirements for Special Education in Accredited-Funded Private Schools (Alberta Education, 2006)
?Ensure that student records are current and complete
?Ensure that documentation is submitted to Alberta Education for students requiring accommodations on Provincial Assessments
?Serve as the AP Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) coordinator
?Coordinate services with outside providers including but not limited to psychologists, speech-language pathologists and concussion protocol
?Develop and implement IPPs for students with complex diagnoses
?Develop and deliver parent education opportunities to support the partnership between school and home through developing a shared understanding of best practices, new initiatives to support learners and executive functioning supports
?Manage the Student Success Centre budget
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College. Candidates with experience and qualifications in coaching [and other co-curricular activities] will be given special consideration.
