1. Social Science Teacher, Senior School

About This Faculty Role

HTS has an exciting opportunity for a Senior School Social Science Teacher to join our team in August 2018.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a program that is dynamic and skills based and for creating an engaging learning environment that will enable all students to fulfill their potential. We are seeking individuals who are willing to try new things, energetic, technologically skilled, creative, and who can communicate with ease and confidence.

If you have the following Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

  • Ontario Teacher Certification, with qualifications in Geography, History or Politics
  • Deep knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and Growing Success Policies
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s – 21st century competencies
  • A minimum of 2 years experience teaching in defined subject matter area
  • Experience in the independent school environment
  • Comfort with, and enthusiasm for, the use of technology
  • The willingness and ability to collaborate with fellow teachers

4. French Teacher, Senior School

About This Faculty Role

HTS has an exciting LTO opportunity for a Senior School French Teacher (maternity leave coverage) to join our team in August 2018.

The successful candidate will work within and across divisions to develop and deliver innovative and action-oriented programming that meets the expectations of the 2013 Ontario FSL curriculum.

He or she will be an enthusiastic, assured, innovative and creative teacher who communicates with ease and confidence, and who will create an engaging, exciting, learning environment that enables students of different abilities to achieve competence in French.

We are inviting candidates with the following qualifications to apply:

  • Ontario Teacher Certification with French as a Second Language (FSL) qualifications
  • French language teaching experience at the senior school level

5. Associate Teacher, Senior School

About This Faculty Role

HTS has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Teacher to join our team in August.

The successful candidate will provide on call coverage for the school during regular school hours in addition to teaching a Senior School science course. This position will oversee the academic progress and personal growth of each student in the assigned course, and be fully involved in co-curricular activities. We are searching for candidates that are passionate about education, with the ability to create an engaging learning environment that enables students of different talents and abilities to fulfil their potential.
