Michael Hayes

CEO & Lead Education Consultant
Michael founded SchoolAdvice in 2007 and brings thirty years of classroom and administrative experience in Canadian Independent Schools to SchoolAdvice. He advises families, school administrations, and mentors young educators.

Caroline Kim Moore

Education Consultant, Ottawa

Caroline joins the SchoolAdvice team with almost 20 years of education experience as a classroom and International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme teacher, ESL teacher, principal, mathematics coach, digital learning specialist.  She has also worked closely with multi-disciplinary teams including speech-language pathologists and psychologists to walk families through Individual Education Plans (IEP’s).  Caroline also works with school administrators in the areas of leadership and technology planning.

Andrea joins the SchoolAdvice team with 17 years of education experience under her belt. Her experiences extend past the classroom into administration and coordination of the International Baccalaureate Program.  Andrea works alongside families of international students to ensure a welcoming and safe placement for their homestay.

Alexia Skrivanos

Alexia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from McGill University and a Master’s Degree in Child Studies from Concordia University. She joins the SchoolAdvice team with over 11 years of experience in the field of Education as a resource teacher and an Education Director of a learning center. She was also both the manager and learning specialist of educational support services provided within a Foundation; providing consultation and professional opinion concerning students’ academic profiles and all education-related projects. As well, she created and implemented their currently used, adapted after-school program to meet the needs of students with learning difficulties and learning disabilities. Over the years, Alexia has worked alongside multi-disciplinary teams in order to both provide individualized instruction and offer support and services for students and families. She possesses a strong knowledge base in working with students with learning disabilities, as well as, learning strategies and educational tools.
